Beaulieu River has many private jetties and landing places. The only marina is near Bucklers Hard but moorings in the river occupy much of the main channel. I wouldn't like to try to sail up the river in anything larger than a dinghy. There are some impressive (and very expensive) houses along the banks, for example what I've called the "Privet" house (photos [10] [25]) with it's huge clipped bishes, and the "modern house" [11] [20]. I don't know what the "Country Club" [23] [24] is... house? conference centre? hotel? Most of the moored boats are yachts, many of the traditional sort. Not that many "Sunseeker" type boats, but one or two classic motor launches like the Swordsman 40 [26] [27].
